The Short Version
This site and the applications linked from it (Book Store, ICT Skills Training, Legal OS, SIMS) use only strictly necessary cookies to keep you signed in. We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, or third-party analytics cookies anywhere on these sites.
What a Cookie Is
A cookie is a small piece of text a website stores in your browser so it can recognise you on your next request, such as staying logged in as you move between pages.
What We Actually Set
- Session cookies, set by Supabase (our authentication provider) when you sign in to the admin panel, the Book Store, ICT Skills Training, Legal OS, or SIMS. These only exist to keep you logged in and expire automatically.
- A cookie notice preference, stored in your browser so we don't show you the small notice at the bottom of the page again once you've seen it.
Because these are strictly necessary for the site to function (you cannot stay logged in without them), they do not require opt-in consent under most cookie laws, including Uganda's Data Protection and Privacy Act, 2019 and the EU/UK's ePrivacy rules. We tell you about them here rather than hiding them, and the notice banner is informational, not a request for permission we don't need.
If That Ever Changes
If we ever add analytics or advertising cookies to this site, we will update this page first and add a real consent choice (accept/decline, not just a notice) before any non-essential cookie is set, not after.
Managing Cookies Yourself
You can clear or block cookies at any time through your browser's own settings. Doing so will simply sign you out of anything you're logged into on our sites.
