This site is operated by Paul Bugembe, trading as Bugembe Systems SMC, based in Uganda. These terms apply to paulbugembe.com, the client interview and intake forms, and, unless a specific application says otherwise, to the linked applications: the MINDSET Book Store, ICT Skills Training, Legal OS, and SIMS.
Using This Site
You may browse this site and submit an intake form for genuine enquiries. You agree not to submit false information, attempt to access another user's or school's data, or use the site to send unlawful, abusive, or fraudulent content.
Legal & Business Services
Submitting an intake form is a request for a quote and scope, not an instruction to act; a formal engagement (and any fee) is only confirmed once Paul has replied with next steps and you have agreed to proceed. Nothing on this site is legal advice for your specific situation until an engagement is confirmed. Company registration, tax filing, and similar government processes depend on third-party bodies (URSB, URA, and others); timelines are estimates, not guarantees, since they depend on those bodies' own processing times.
The Book (MINDSET)
Digital purchases are delivered as an instant download tied to your account; paperback orders are shipped, with shipping cost shown at checkout before you pay. Payment is processed by Pesapal; refund requests for a genuine order issue (a failed download, a damaged paperback) can be sent to the contact email below.
ICT Skills Training, Legal OS & SIMS
These are subscription or per-purchase software products. Free levels or trial access, where offered, remain free; paid content unlocks once payment is confirmed. Skill Badges and completion certificates from ICT Skills Training are a record of practice and self-assessment, not an accredited qualification. Legal OS is a study aid for LDC Bar Course students, not legal advice, and answers should always be checked against the primary source material it cites.
For SIMS specifically: a school using SIMS remains the owner of its own student, staff, and financial data at all times; we act as the software provider and data processor, not the owner of that data. We aim for the service to be available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access, and recommend a school keep its own routine backups or export of critical records in addition to ours. A school may request an export of its own data at any time.
Intellectual Property
The content, design, and software on this site and its linked applications belong to Paul Bugembe / Bugembe Systems SMC, except where a client's own data (student records, uploaded documents, drafted contracts specific to them) is clearly theirs. Reproducing this site's content or software without permission is not allowed.
Limitation of Liability
Services are provided with reasonable skill and care, but to the extent permitted by Ugandan law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for delays caused by third parties (government bodies, payment processors, hosting providers) outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited, such as liability for fraud.
Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Uganda, and any dispute arising from them will first be attempted to be resolved by direct discussion between the parties before any formal proceeding.
Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms as the services on this site change; the date at the top of this page shows the last update. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
